Here at Harvest Kitchen, we cater for many weddings from cozy and intimate to large and festive.

We are an All-inclusive venue, with in house catering and fully licensed bar.

Let us take care of the set up and clean up, that leaves you or Got It Covered to just put the lovely finishing touches on your special day such as lighting, florals or candles.

Wedding and Function Venue Hire

Appleby Room – Hire Fee from $2,000

Our lovely Appleby Room, which is our larger function room which opens on to a grassed area for perfect for drinks, fingerfood and pre dinner mingling, it has its own private bar, with Hop Federation Beer on tap and a full range of Seifried wines. This room seats from 60pax up to 150pax on round tables of 6-8 maximum or trestle tables of 8-10pax. The hire is from 9am – till 12 midnight.

The Vines Room – Hire Fee from $1,000+

The upstairs Vines Room is our smaller function room which suits smaller more intimate events, it has its own small bar and balcony overlooking the vines. This room seats up to 50pax on trestle tables of 8-10pax. The hire is from 9am – till 12 midnight.

Included in the hire fee is tables, chairs, chair covers, tablecloths, cloth napkins, salt & pepper shakers and water glasses. The room will be set up to your table plan with a choice of white or black linen. If you supply us with place cards or special decorations, we will make sure they are placed on tables.

Decorating your Wedding

We work with Got It Covered who can supply additional decorations and styling for your day, from specialty glassware to bar leaners, wooden chairs, lounge suites and floral Centre pieces. The GIC team are amazing to work with and can recommend stunning set ups to customize your day.

You are more than welcome to Self-decorate your room.

Due to Health & Safety requirements we do not allow our guests to do any DIY set up, hanging of fairy lights, chandeliers, floral installations, silk curtains etc unless they are booked and installed via a certified company such as Got it Covered.

Harvest Kitchen Restaurant & Garden
Hire Fee POA

The Harvest Kitchen space features restaurant style seating, we can seat 70 inside using the existing timber tables – the lovely garden boasts a kid’s playground and outdoor seating for 80-100 for a more relaxed occasion. This area is only available to use for a reception from 5pm.

Wedding Ceremonies at Harvest Kitchen

If you wish to have your wedding ceremony here at Harvest on our front lawn, you may do this. Please note: any set up or pack down of chairs, arches or decorations not belonging to us and hired in externally, will not be the responsibility of Harvest Kitchen staff
Cellar Door Lawn Area - $500.00 (Fee to Hire this area)

We are happy to arrange you a quote for any ceremony requirements, such as lawn chairs, flowers, archways etc.

Food & Menus for Weddings

All our menu pricing includes ceramic white crockery and good quality cutlery required to serve your meal
Yes, we will happily cater for full vegetarian weddings and take dietary requirements very seriously; we will always make sure to take care of your guest’s special dietary needs. If they cannot eat off your chosen menu, then our chefs will prepare a meal specifically for them at no extra charge.
We produce 98% of all foods served and use local produce where possible.
We are happy to serve plated meals or family style to the bridal table. Just ask.
As we are a Full-Service all-inclusive venue, we do not allow other caterers to come into Harvest Kitchen to cater. We cannot allow guests to bring any food on sight which has not been prepared by our Chefs – apart from wedding cakes.
Due to running under NZ Food Control Plan we cannot prepare or cook any home kill or seafood fished or hunted by family etc.
We also no not allow any uneaten food to be removed from the premises as we cannot control how it treated once it leaves Harvest Kitchen.

Wedding /Celebration Cakes

We will cut and platter your wedding cake free of charge, we can supply a simple cake knife or feel free to bring along your own decorative one. Using your wedding cake as part of your dessert buffet is an excellent way to make sure that your beautiful cake is enjoyed by your guests and is not just an afterthought at the end of the night.

If you wish to enjoy your wedding cake as part of your dinner then we have a plated or buffet option available for a small fee, see below:

For wedding cake plated with Cream/Yogurt & Berry Compote and table served to your guests the cost will be $6.00 per person.
For your wedding cake to be cut and put out on the dessert buffet there is no charge.

Bar/Beverages

We are a fully licensed premise with our own In-House bar. We offer Hop Federation Tap Beer, a range of bottled beers, Capital Ciders and Seifried Wines plus a full range of spirits and cocktails as well as non-alcoholic options. NO BYO is allowed of any kind.
